From flab to fabulous!











{August 4, 2011}   Update!

It’s been almost a year since I’ve updated my blog.  Mostly due to being so busy!  I have managed to keep the weight off despite the fact that my knee is still not 100%.  Still waiting for the MRI on it…  I had taken Sept to Feb off from boxing/boxercise and was just going to the gym instead.  However, I’ve realized that boxing’s in my blood and I missed it too much.  I returned to boxing/boxercise in February, but only as a rec member.  I stepped down as coach and feel good about my decision.  Now, I go to both and am currently learning a lot more technique and getting awesome workouts at the same time!  Mid-September, dance classes start up again.  I’m going back to hip hop and have signed up for Tap/Jazz as well.  Should keep me busy throughout the school year!
The summer’s flying by too fast!  I’ve made a conscious choice to resume writing in my food journal (I had quit in the Spring) since I was feeling the weight creeping up again on me slowly (not being accountable made me eat worse).  I’ve definitely kicked it up a notch this week: I went for two 20 minute runs (up and down hills), a 2 hour walk, 2 boxercise sessions and a boxing session.  I’ve been writing everything I put into my body and eating well again.  I’ve increased my water consumption as well.  It’s amazing that doing these few simple things has made me feel strong again!  I’m going to continue regularly updating this blog, since it makes me accountable to you, the reader.
